In short: Upright and grand pianos, antiques, mirrors and artwork moved by crews who handle them regularly.

Pianos and antiques are heavy, awkward and unforgiving of a rushed lift. We move them with the right straps, skates, padding and crew numbers, and we plan the route through the property before anything is lifted.

Grand pianos are prepared properly — legs and pedal lyre removed where needed, the body padded and moved on a board — then reassembled and placed at the other end.

Please declare high-value items

Our standard contractual liability is limited per item, but we carry £20,000 Goods in Transit cover per van and can confirm cover for individual high-value pieces when you declare them in writing before the move. Tell us at survey stage and we will confirm what applies.

Tuning and specialists

A piano should be tuned after any move once it has settled in its new environment. We do not tune pianos ourselves, but we will happily coordinate with your tuner around the move date.

How a move with us works, step by step

1. Tell us about the move. Call, WhatsApp or send the quote form with your addresses, property size and preferred date.
2. Free survey. For anything from two bedrooms upwards we visit (or do a video walk-through) so nothing is missed.
3. Written quote. You get a fixed, itemised price — crew size, vehicles, packing, materials and any storage.
4. Confirm the date. A 20% deposit secures the booking. The remaining balance is payable on the packing/loading day or as stated in your written quotation.
5. Packing day (optional). If you have booked packing, we normally pack the day before.
6. Moving day. The crew protects the property, loads, transports and places furniture in the rooms you point to, then reassembles what we dismantled.
